The Orifice Bore shall not less than 0.25" and not greater than 0.316D where'D' is pipe intemal diameter |

The bore of this Orifice PI is a semi circle to perform the same function as the Eccentric Orifice Plate. This is used the similar purposes. Flange Taps or Vena Contract Taps are used for this plate. |

These are the most commonly used Flange Unions. The Flange Taps are at 1" upstream & Downstream
of the Orifice Plate. The Flange Bore is machined to the required finish as per ISO 5167 and is equal to
the Pipe internal diameter. The Orifice Plate is self-centered into the Flange union to incorporate the
concentricity of the Orifice Plate with the Flange I Pipe Bore. The Flanges can be supplied with the
IBR I NACE Certification on demand. The Flange dimensions shall be as per the Standards ANSI
B16.36. JIS, BS, DIN. API etc., |

| This is similar to FE400 WN# Series except the Pressure Tappings provided are of Comer Taps. The
Tap Hole opening is as dose as possible to the Orifice Plate's face, so that the reading of the DP
becomes easier. This is the case, where DP value is small and where the pipe sizes are smaller. The
Tapping can also be provided by machining the annualr grooves into the Flanges as per Bs1042 or
ISO 5167 standards. For the line sizes 2" and below, the Comer Tappings are recommended. The
Flange bore is maintained equal to the Pipe ID and its surface finish as per ISO 5167. The Flanges
are as per ANSI B16.36, DIN, BS, API etc. IBR, NACE, HIC and any other Certifications are given
as per the customer demands
Wetted part materials can be selected to suit practically all applications. |

where DP is very low. The corner tappings are provided in the form of annular groovers so that, the
purging of buid into the lap is very effective and reading of DP become easy. |

The Taps are located at 1 Pipe Intemal Diameter upstream the Orifice Plate and at ½ Pipe Intemal Diameter downstream the Orifice Plate. These taps are also called as Radius Taps and are largely replaced by Vena Contracta Taps. The pipe line sizes of 10" and above are recommended to have these taps. The Tap location normally comes onthe pipe wall and not into the Flanges. The Flanges can be supplied with the IBR / NACE Certification on demand. These Plates are similar to Square Edge Concentric Orifice Plates in construction, except, there is no bevel provided at the outlet face of the Plate. The Orifice Bore Diameter designed as per ISO 5167/ RW Miller.
These Plates are used to restrict the Flow there by dropping the Static Pressure substanitally. There are no Pressure Tappings used in the pipe line, since the purpose is to only drop the pressure and no Flow Measurement is Involved.
The Dimensions A, B, C are as per Table-1
These Plates can also be supplied with RT J holders suitable for RT J Flanges. |
